Today is a taboo topic that has nothing to do with food for once: nipples!

Even BuzzFeed made a video on Women Going Braless For A Week - so what's all the fuzz about?

Hey friends!

As of Sunday I'm back from the music festival, and I'm down with a cold - in July!! -.- I felt it coming on after two days of being exposed to a harsh contrast of hot days and cold nights, breathing dust and smoky air, and by the time of Saturday night it had hit me hard. I was congested, sniffling, sneezing, and just feeling pretty yucky. I came home Sunday night instead of Monday noon, in an attempt to cure my cold at home, and I'm feeling a little bit better now.

What's more important though is what I packed for the festival in order to survive as a vegan ;)

Following my raw vegan Banana Split Ice Cream, my Fro-Yo Banana Split and my slightly decadent Banana Split Oatmeal, I come to you with this incredibly healthy breakfast edition of banana split today! 

Healthy ingredients, like yogurt, fresh fruits, oats and nuts that make up this banana split may already be part of your breakfast routine, but when you dress them up in a fun banana split bowl somehow, they just seem so special :)

To be honest, I've never been a massive fan of apricots. They taste rather bland compared to sweet peaches, and sometimes the texture of their velvety skin and flesh is just... weird. Apricots are a little thicker and heavier tasting than a peach, and sometimes slightly tart like a plum.

But in ice cream form their taste can be perfectly paired with the sweetness of maple syrup and the crunchiness of homemade granola :)

After all this sweetness last month, it's about time for a savory counterbalance.

I love patties that are based on legumes as you can buy them canned so there's no any extra preparation time. In other words, I'm lazy. But considering that my boyfriend and I whip up something freshly cooked, baked or otherwise prepared every single day, I think it's perfectly legitimate to be lazy from time to time.

Other than burgers, my lazy day recipes include pasta, potato wedges, rice bowls and simple bread slices with spread. Highly recommended, quick, easy and still healthy!

A while ago I came across a recipe post for banana split cupcakes (not vegan), and it made me thinking: why not turn several dishes into a "banana split"?! And the first thing that came to mind - besides vegan banana split cupcakes - was OATMEAL.

So I ran to my computer and googled "banana split porridge/oatmeal", and surprisingly there were no recipes of the sort that I was looking for! So of course, I had to make one myself :)

This Banana Split Oatmeal is dairy-free, decadent and delicious! This can be eaten either as a healthy dessert for 2, or as a slightly richer breakfast for 1. Goes without saying, I had mine as breakfast for one, hehe.

Cinnamon ice cream is one of my boyfriend's favourite ice cream flavours, and since it's our monthly "anniversary" (yes, we still celebrate that on a small scale!), what's more fitting than homemade cinnamon ice cream! Spiced up with a bit of Maca powder for its said aphrodisiac properties ;)

Sometimes i love to indulge in a rich chocolate overdose *, but right now i'm in the mood for something light. Fresh. Fluffy. Airy. So i thought i'd whip up these lemon and poppy pancakes that seem such a British thing to make :)  

Make sure to use real lemons as opposed to bottled lemon juice! Contrasting the tartness of the lemons with the sweetness of sugar and vanilla, this pancake recipe is a perfect balance and slightly less filling. Superb for a summery Sunday.

So fresh, so clean, so healthy!

do you remember my 2014 Ice Cream Galore and my 2015 Ice Cream Galore? Well, all good things come in threes, so I'm doing one last Ice Cream Galore this summer!

As there are already 59 (yes, 59) ice cream recipes in my recipe index, there won't be 21 new ice creams like the past two years, but only one ice cream recipe each Friday over the course of the two summer months July and August. So: 10 raw, vegan, dairy-free, plant-based (or rather: banana-based) nicecream recipes!
