Quick ice cream without ice cream maker

Preparation time: 5 mins + 3 hours freezing time
Main ingredients: banana, cacao, matcha

suitable for: vegan, lactose-free, gluten-free, nut-free, paleo, raw food, and delicious "even so"

Good morning!

It's my brother's 21st birthday today, and what better way to celebrate than with a huge bowl of ice cream? Exactly!

Also, we're in London. Which is almost as good as ice cream.

This awesome rice recipe was created not just by me, but mainly by my beautiful boyfriend who will stay anonymous here but who named the Curry Coconut Rice Stir-Fry "à la Fredo" ;)

Rice (formed into a little hill by using a round ice cream jug) with coconut curry veggie stir fry (carrots, red bell pepper, red onion, chickpeas, scallions, ginger, coconut milk and some herbs and spices).

Anyway -

This is super last-minute, but it's also super easy and quick to make, so here's another dessert recipe for Valentine's Day that requires only avocado, dates or bananas, cacao and fresh fruit such as pomegranate, strawberries or raspberries!

I call it "Raw Love" not only because the ingredients are raw, but also because they are said to spark romance and enhance sexual desire. A truly sexy combination of raw chocolate/cacao, pomegranate, banana, avocado (which derives from an Aztecan word meaning "testicle" hahah!), honey (symbol of procreation, Birds and bees ring a bell? ;)), cinnamon, Maca and chili flakes - all of which are supposed to have aphrodisiac qualities.

Dark chocolate for instance causes a spike in dopamine, which induces feelings of pleasure, Bananas with their phallic shape trigger testosterone production, and Chili peppers stimulate endorphins (the brain's feel good chemicals), speed up heart rate and make you sweat, which all mimic how you feel when you're aroused. Cool, isn't it? Or should i say: hot.

So get a spoon and feed this to your loved one ;)

Are you still looking for a nice meal to share with your partner on Valentine's Day? 

Personally, i don't really like those "love merchandise" events because there shouldn't have to be a date to remind us of giving and showing love, but i do like making and sharing delicious food, so here's what i made my boyfriend yesterday for our monthly anniversary today. It's a huge Love Brownie for Two, two smaller brownies, some cacao covered truffle balls and a dozen frozen chocolate hearts ♥

The ingredients are a sexy combination of raw chocolate/cacao, nuts, figs, banana, avocado (Aztec: "testicle"!), honey, cinnamon, Maca and chili flakes - all of which happen to have sensual, aphrodisiac qualities. Total incident of course ;)

Time to celebrate! What? A) My Dad's birthday. And B) i finished my last exam today! No idea how i performed, but what's important now is that i have semester break until April!! And lots of time to write blog entries! (and also term papers, but let's focus on the blog entries for now...)

Anyway. 

It's always a good time to celebrate when you get to eat brownies!
