Hey guys, it's me. The irregularly posting girl with bursts of inspiration, creative long hauls, too many professional and personal projects to juggle, two gluttonous guinea pigs, curly hair, and a love for everything homemade and handmade! (I should write that in my bio...)
This time it's a recipe for non-toxic, natural DIY lip balm that I have been using for over a year now! It's sooo delicious and makes you want to lick off the balm from your lips, lol! But seriously. It's amazing. And it leaves your lips soft and smooth and veeery kissable ;)
Since lip products are applied right to your mouth (and partially swallowed down, yuck! think about all that lipstick in your gut...) I find it especially important to make sure they contain all natural ingredients. Lip balm is an incredibly easy recipe that can be customized to your preferences – with or without scent, with or without colour, in chap stick or balm shape...
Today we are making a peppermint and chocolate scented one, but of course you can alter it to your liking! Chocolate and vanilla? Peppermint and honey? Go for it! Want a lip gloss instead of a balm? The key to that is the amount of beeswax you include. The more you put in, the less glossy and the more firm and balmy it gets – and vice versa. (Plus, beeswax has natural sun protection qualities!)
Alright, enough rambling. Here we go!
