Working from home isn't always that easy. Even though it's great to have the freedom to work when ever and where ever you want, there is also a downside to having a home office: There are distractions, no set daily routine, no clear boarders between working time and leisure time... it's hard not to mix work with personal life.
To be honest, the main reason why I'm writing this blog post is because I'm procrastinating. Like a pro. Currently my number one priority is to work on my master thesis, but of course publishing two blog posts every week is a priority too (for my personal well-being, sort of), so guess which of the two one the fight.
If you are in a similar situation like I am, keep reading, take notes, and then get your sh*t together and get to work!
Here are my tips to beat procrastination and start to be productive.
Hey friends,
hooray, it's the last day of my internship! Don't get me wrong, it was a great internship, but I'm just glad to have time for working on my master thesis as well as private projects such as my blog, social life etc. That sort of stuff, you know :)
Since I'm getting more into DIY projects lately, my feature for the week is also related to crafting: homemade soap! Although I must admit that I've never tried to make my own soap (nor do I feel up to it just yet), I think this is one of the best presents or DIY projects there is. Because who doesn't appreciate a bar of lovely smelling soap?
But now onto the link party!
Hi guys! Are you ready for another round of Friday Favorites?
By this time next week, I will have just finished my internship, which means: my first free weekend!! So looking forward to this. Today was an exhausting day, my head felt like it was about to explode (or implode – either way, very painful), my brain just felt so dry and tired. With Valentine's Day coming up, everyone is thinking about how to show their love to their loved ones (do you really need a fixed day for this?), but instead, how about showing yourself some love. Which is why I chose a blog post on 3 Self Care Tips to Help You Feel Top Notch Even When You Don't Have Time.
Are your single and sort of dreading V-Day? Are you in a relationship, but not wanting to make a big deal of February 14th? Why not pamper yourself that day! Buy yourself some flowers (I'm in a relationship, but I still buy myself flowers and treat myself), make your favourite treat (here are some snack ideas and one of my favourite chocolate truffle recipes), read a good book, put on your favourite movie, blast your music, dance in your PJs, do whatever the heck you enjoy!
How are you spending Valentine's Day?
Personally, I will spend Valentine's Day at work in the office and then with my flatmates (including my boyfriend), and we will have a little barbecue and game party. Chilled, fun, and just the way I like it :)
But for now – let's party!

This is for all my fellow snackers! Especially at work or at my desk at home, when my brain is working hard (or is plainly bored), my stomach seems to be a bottomless pit. Instead of grabbing a store-bored snack that is usually packed with unhealthy sugars, fats and other processed ingredients, why not make your own, healthier version of your favourite treats?
Whether sweet or savory, there's something for everyone! (I actually made these on Sunday as a birthday gift for my Dad who turned 50 on Monday, and he was pretty happy about the collection of wholesome snacks!)
These snacks are
Homemade
Healthy
Easy
Portable
Long-lasting
Delicious
& nutritious
