Chocolate Ice Cream (raw, vegan)

reading time: ca. 1 min

Quick 2-ingredient ice cream without ice cream maker

Preparation time: 5 mins + 3 hours freezing time
Main ingredients: banana, cocoa
difficulty level: easy
serves: 1
suitable for: vegan, lactose-free, gluten-free, nut-free, paleo, raw food, and delicious "even so"

Chocolate for breakfast? Uh yeah. This is my jam. Vegan lifestyle is boring? Hell no! Along with my Matcha ice cream and Peppermint ice cream, this is my all-time favourite "nice cream".

Who needs chocolate candy if you can make your own 100% plant-based healthy chocolate ice cream?! i mean, seriously.

Ice Cream:
3 large ripe bananas, frozen
2 tbsp raw, unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp agave syrup or preferred sweetener (optional) - i'm not using any!

- a high-speed blender or food processor (NO NEED FOR AN ICE CREAM MAKER!)

Combine banana pieces and sweetener, if needed, in your blender. Blend until a thick smooth consistency forms. Add in your cocoa, or carob (which is the caffeine-free "equivalent" to cocoa) and blend for another few seconds for everything to meld together nicely.

(Not to toot my own horn, but this ice cream rocks. Just sayin. I know you're not supposed to say that, 'cause it's against the rules to rave about something you made. But it's true. This is so simple and so delicious!)

Also: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MUM! I've got a great little recipe planned for you... love you
