WINTER BREAKFAST in a Jar II

Preparation time: 10 mins + overnight refrigeration for best results!
Main ingredients: oats, orange, avocado, cacao
difficulty level: easy
serves: 1-2
suitable for: vegan, lactose-free, gluten-free, nut-free, raw food, and delicious "even so"

Muesli:
1/4 cup (50g) oats (alternatively: buckwheat or sunflower seeds or nuts)
1 tbsp maple or agave syrup
splash of soy milk

Fruit:
1 orange, chopped
1 small apple, chopped
cinnamon

Chocolate pudding:
1 avocado, ripe
1 banana, ripe
2 tbsp raw cacao powder (or carob)
1-2 tsp maple or agave syrup
pinch of cinnamon
pinch of salt

- For the full experience, prepare this the night before! -

For the muesli, place oats at the bottom of your jar (i'm using one of my beloved huge honey jars), add maple or agave and a splash of soy milk then toss in your buckwheat, oats, seeds or nuts (preferably soaked almonds).

For the fruit compote, chop apple and orange, toss them on top of the soaking oats and sprinkle with cinnamon.

For the pudding, follow these instructions for a raw vegan Chocolate Pudding

Then fill the finished pudding on top of your fruit, and just place your jar in the fridge over night and let the magic happen :)

Another take on the Winter Breakfast in a Jar is this simpler, quicker version that takes only 2 minutes or so to make!

Muesli:
1/2 cup (100g) oats (alternatively: buckwheat or sunflower seeds or nuts)
1 tbsp agave syrup
splash of soy milk

Fruit:
1 medium apple, chopped
1 small banana, mashed cinnamon

Chocolate pudding:
shaved dark dairy-free chocolate

Just layer everything in your jar, let it soak overnight in the fridge and then take it to work, to school or university or on a road trip :)
